About Econistics

Dr Noman Arshed

Econistics is a professional econometrics research and consulting platform founded by Dr Noman Arshed, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Analytics at Sunway Business School, Sunway University.

The platform develops and distributes free, open-source tools for the global research community — including Stata packages published on the Statistical Software Components (SSC) archive, downloadable Excel calculators, and browser-based research apps — with the goal of making rigorous quantitative methods more accessible to researchers, students, and practitioners.

Dr Arshed’s work spans panel data econometrics, quantile regression, post-estimation analysis, and applied research methods. He has developed multiple reusable research infrastructure tools and pedagogical materials used by academics and graduate students worldwide.
